Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide skilled nursing care to patients in a medical setting. This role will assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in identifying, monitoring, and coordinating patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine primary care and specialized care to patients as needed, evaluating and adjusting plans of care to facilitate desired outcomes.
  • Record vital signs, medication history, social history, and triage patients, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Coordinate care with service providers to meet clinical needs, identifying client needs and assessing status of functional, psychological, social, environmental, financial, and other support systems.
  • Participate in quality assurance review and assessment, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional directives.
  • Perform other nursing duties as directed by medical staff, including educating patients and monitoring their compliance with treatment regimens.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent from a recognized accrediting organization.
  • Graduate from an accredited LPN program and licensed as a LPN in the state of Georgia or Compact license to include Georgia.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced medical environment, with frequent interactions with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The LPN must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
