Key Responsibilities- Operate Radiation Therapy Equipment: Safely and effectively operate all radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and high dose rate afterloading machines.
- Prepare Patients for Treatment: Prepare patients for treatment by setting up and positioning them correctly, and ensuring that all necessary equipment is in place.
- Administer Treatment: Administer radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians, using a variety of techniques and equipment.
- Maintain Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED and current CRT/ARRT Certificate and Graduate from an Accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist - Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California) OR Radiologic Technologist Certification and Basic Life Support.
- Experience: One (1) year recent and relevant experience preferred in patient treatment using various radiation therapy equipment.
- Record and Verify System Experience: Experience using a record and verify system and multi-leaf collimators.
