Scooter Operator

Job Summary:

As a Scooter Driver at Restaurant Depot, you will be responsible for operating pallet jacks to move items from one place to another. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate pallet jacks to transport items to and from storage areas

Assist with loading and unloading items from delivery trucks

Prepare pallets for handling objects appropriately

Perform pre-checks on electric pallet jacks to ensure they are in proper working order

Perform minor troubleshooting activities when needed

Ensure that electric pallet jacks are maintained on a periodic basis

Pick orders from storage areas and verify the accuracy of orders from order sheets

Count quantity of items asked for by the customer and ensure that any broken items are isolated and reported to the supervisor immediately

Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow instructions and work independently

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
