- Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 for medical cases, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds.
- Staffing Details: Support from techs in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, with unit clerks available during all shifts.
- Equipment Used: Baxter pumps, GE monitors.
- Documentation System: Cerner.
- Floating Policy: No floating outside the emergency department, but flexibility to float within the department is required.
- Patient Experience Standards: Adherence to AIDET principles, maintaining respectful interactions, and keeping patients informed throughout their visit.
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs are mandatory.
