At US Foods, Inc., we're committed to excellence in the foodservice industry. As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, and lift gates.
  • Perform preventative maintenance within company standards to extend the lifespan of our vehicles.
  • Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability to maintain accurate records.
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport as needed.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously. Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.

Requirements:
  • CDL A and DOT certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.

We offer a competitive salary, with a base rate of $32.05 per hour, plus overtime compensation, a retention bonus, certification premium, CDL premium, and various benefits, including health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

Our ideal location is Plymouth, MN, with a schedule that includes Monday through Friday, with a start time of 9 pm. We're looking for someone who can work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
