At Light Wave Dental, our mission is to provide exceptional dental care to infants, children, and teenagers, including those with special healthcare needs. We strive to create a safe and compassionate environment, treating patients with the same care and respect we would offer our own families.

Key Responsibilities

As a dental assistant, you will play a vital role in our office, performing clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. These may include:

  • Preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Preparing patients for treatment and assisting the dentist during procedures
  • Providing patients with instructions on oral healthcare procedures
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Dental assistant certification, where required
  • X-ray certification
  • Nitrous oxide certification, preferred
  • Annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training, as required by law
  • Experience with relevant dental software
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
