Job Title: Activity Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activity Aide to join our team at The Orchards. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and inclusive environment for our residents, promoting their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and implementing activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with activity vendors to provide entertainment and educational programs for residents.
  • Maintain open communication with the Activity Director regarding resident needs and concerns.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Encourage resident participation in planned activities and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prefer three to six months of related experience in senior activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations related to geriatric activities.
  • Ability to write initial, quarterly, and annual resident assessment reports, progress notes, and individualized care plans.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups.

Work Environment:

The Activity Aide will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, family members, and staff. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a dynamic setting.
