We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Nurse to join our team at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medication administration, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Graduate of a nursing program with a current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
