The primary role of the Care Staff is to deliver essential care services to residents, under the guidance of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living and Ensemble areas, while fostering a positive atmosphere for both physical and social engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with residents and colleagues in a warm, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility support, medication reminders, and incontinence care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care, including resident service plans and documentation of services rendered.
  • Familiarize yourself with each resident's service plan and ensure all services provided are documented appropriately.
  • Collaborate closely with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care for residents.
  • Uphold a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Support the operational activities and programming within the neighborhood.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned – refer to the complete job description for details.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant healthcare experience is necessary.
  • For communities with an Ensemble Program, successful completion of required dementia training is mandatory.
  • A positive Criminal Background Screening is essential.
  • The workplace adheres to a drug-free policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Candidates may hold a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) designation, contingent on state requirements, and must be in good standing.
  • Familiarity with computerized resident documentation systems is advantageous.
