Medical Support Specialist

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for delivering daily healthcare and patient care management. This position involves supporting patient care duties, various clinical and administrative tasks, and assisting the office healthcare team with specific treatments and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients to the exam room, prepare patients for examinations, and obtain and record pre-examination testing, including height, weight, BMI, and vital signs.
• Perform delegated clinical tasks, such as vital signs, urine collection, blood collection, injections, electrocardiograms, and routine dressing changes.
• Assist the healthcare team with specific treatments and procedures.
• Administer and document specified injections as directed by the facility's policies.
• Document all clinical care provided in the facility's EMR in a thorough and timely manner.
• Provide follow-up communications with the healthcare team and patients.
• Perform minor housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary office and clinic environment.
Requirements:
• A graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred, or a minimum of one year of professional office, customer service, or patient care experience.
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, proper judgment, and appropriate employee/patient relations.
• Must be highly motivated and willing to assume additional jobs and duties as needed.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database products.
• Ability to read, write, and explain information to patients and/or family members.
• Ability to provide customer service in a warm and friendly manner.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to function independently.
