Electrical Systems Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will be a key leader in safety, supporting operations and demonstrating engineering excellence. They will provide division-wide technical expertise, assist with long-term capital planning, lead projects, coordinate preventative maintenance measures, and contribute to Nucor's Maintenance Strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise to support operations and ensure safety
- Assist with long-term capital planning and project leadership
- Coordinate preventative maintenance measures and contribute to Nucor's Maintenance Strategy
- Lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience in the electrical power field
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Experience in industrial electrical engineering
- Experience with melting, casting, or long product rolling
- Electric Arc Furnace regulation
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
- Experience with capital expenditures, budgets, and implementation
- Experience with interpreting technical drawings and design specifications
