Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnosis of disease and injury, performing high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, adhering to exam protocols and maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, utilizing AIDET principles to ensure correct exams are performed on the right patients.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and physicists to optimize equipment performance.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certifications: RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-OB, RVT, or equivalent certifications in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology.
