Job Summary

The RN Unit Manager at Life Care Center South Shore is a leadership role that requires a strong background in geriatric nursing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, implementing, and managing patient care on your respective unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate patient care services to ensure the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of patients.
  • Implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
  • Provide leadership on the floor and effectively direct the daily functions of unit nurses and CNAs.
  • Chart accurately, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and administer medication as ordered by a physician.
  • Respond to emergency situations related to patient and staff safety.
  • Coordinate patient care plans and services.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Requirements
  • Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing).
  • Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Working Conditions

The RN Unit Manager will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is also required.
