Position Overview
The Neurology Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients in long-term care environments. This role encompasses diagnosing and managing neurological disorders, prescribing necessary medications, and fostering overall health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to accurately identify and address neurological conditions in residents.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, request diagnostic assessments, and analyze results to formulate effective treatment strategies.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive medical documentation for all patients.
  • Offer guidance and support to residents and their families.
  • Oversee chronic health issues and track patient progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and thorough patient care.

Qualifications
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Experience in the field of Neurology.
  • Demonstrated compassionate and empathetic patient interaction.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as required.
  • Proven ability to function independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong skills in communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Educational Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • DEA certification.
