About the Position

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Clockwork. As a key member of our development team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative digital solutions that make a difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in development tasks and estimation activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to improve overall software quality and maintainability.
  • Design and build reusable workflow tools to streamline development processes and enhance team productivity.
  • Reduce technical debt through safe refactoring, ensuring a sustainable and efficient software architecture.

Best Practices & Innovation:

  • Implement technology best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Contribute to the design of technical solutions, considering scalability, security, and usability.

Client Relations:

  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to clients, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and deliverables.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in technologies and client domains, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other engineers and disciplines to achieve common goals and drive business success.
  • Participate in sales calls when needed, representing Clockwork's technical expertise and services.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the team and clients, ensuring transparency and effective issue resolution.

Workflow & Process:

  • Contribute to the design and improvement of development workflows, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in collaborative solutioning efforts, driving innovation and creativity in software development.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Strong expertise in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack development, with extensive experience in Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Native mobile app development for iOS and Android, as well as cross-platform mobile development using React Native or Flutter.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with experience in responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services, and understanding of database design and optimization.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in software development.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on leadership and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
