ResponsibilitiesAs an Emergency Room Nurse, you will serve as a critical first point of contact for individuals experiencing health crises. Your role will involve:
- Utilizing emergency triage protocols to assess, admit, or discharge patients efficiently.
- Delivering immediate and stabilizing care to patients of varying ages, adjusting your approach based on their evolving medical conditions.
- Applying cultural competence to ensure that patient care aligns with their values and beliefs, while meticulously documenting care plans and any changes in patient status.
- Participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experiences and outcomes, including mentoring and community engagement.
To excel in this position, you should demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, and critical thinking abilities. A proactive attitude towards additional responsibilities and a commitment to maintaining the dignity of every patient are essential.

Qualifications- Valid Registered Nurse license in California.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care emergency setting.
- Certification in Basic Dysrhythmia and EKG.
- Completion of LA City Fire Safety Training within the initial period of employment.
- Training in Crisis Prevention Institute methods within the initial period of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications are required for emergency services.
This position is represented by a nursing association.
