Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Hospice of Cabarrus County. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review menus and assemble food supplies and equipment for daily food production.
  • Follow recipes and production methods to complete preparation of assigned menu items.
  • Complete daily production records as required.
  • Observe and test food being prepared to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Label, date, and properly store leftovers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years of experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
  • Ability to read recipes and production records.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. You may be exposed to extremes in temperature and minor cuts, bruises, and scalds are constant. Possible exposure to infectious diseases and body fluids from patients.
