About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team at Andersen in Cottage Grove, MN. As an Electrical Expertise Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing electrical expertise and supporting business growth projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Code Compliance: Ensure that all electrical work is performed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and state electrical codes.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest national and state electrical codes and update site specifications and standards accordingly.
  • Project Management: Assign and oversee project work for internal electricians, coach and mentor apprentice electricians, and update personnel tracking for approved electrical hours.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and audit training for site personnel on NFPA 70E and setup/maintain site electrical tools and training.
  • Equipment Management: Create and maintain an electrical equipment lifecycle management database, organize and carry out preventative maintenance programs, and plan and coordinate incoming power/breaker maintenance work.
  • Design and Documentation: Create and update site electrical power distribution prints and files, review vendor electrical prints, and document design changes.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis with associates, supervisors, maintenance, operations, and peers.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Support the engineering, maintenance, and operations teams with advanced troubleshooting and read and interpret electrical and network drawings for equipment.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Minnesota State Board of Electricity Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
  • Education: Minimum 2-yr technical degree in a related field or equivalent past work experience.
  • Skills: Proficient project management skills, expertise reading and creating electrical and network schematics, knowledge or experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, and advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electrical operations, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
