Weekly Compensation Range: $2396 to $2662
Position Overview:
- The specialized radiologic technologist plays a crucial role in assisting medical professionals during minimally invasive procedures that navigate instruments through a patient's vascular system and internal organs.
- This position reports directly to the Unit Supervisor or Chief Technologist.
- Maximize the effective use of radiation.
- Guide patients to the procedure area.
- Provide recommendations regarding radiology equipment.
- Assist in various procedures, including angioplasty, biopsies, image-guided thermal ablation, and others within the radiology department.
- Evaluate and ensure quality assurance performance.
- Monitor operational performance.
- Educate staff and physicians on essential radiation protection practices.
- Support physicians during minimally invasive procedures that involve guiding instruments through a patient's vascular system and organs.
- Observe patients throughout procedures and report any unusual activities.
- Associate degree in Interventional Radiology.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
