Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement functional safety strategies for internal combustion engine products
  • Requirements development and implementation of ISO 26262 work products
  • Design and development of OBD 3-Step solutions for various functional safety diagnostics
  • Provide technical guidance on applying ISO 26262 across multiple CSAR-based engine programs
  • Conduct standard safety analyses and provide feedback and guidance to engineering design teams on safety findings and recommended design changes
  • Responsible for overall functional safety for gasoline, diesel, and CNG engines
  • Lead the safety plan and enable the project team through all phases of safety engineering
  • Perform technical analysis and provide results to support the development of the safety concept and documentation of the safety case
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Physics, or related field with development engineering experience in embedded control systems
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a safety analyst in an automotive environment
  • Previous experience with embedded electronic controls systems (e.g., brake, airbag, steering)
  • Experience in applying safety according to ISO 26262 standards or IEC 61508 standard
  • Good understanding of embedded software engineering and hardware engineering domains
  • Automotive product engineering experience working in product development with OEM
