Job Description:

The West Covina Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleanliness Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

About the Role:
This position involves performing various cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including daily trash removal, disinfecting high-touch areas, and restocking supplies. You will work closely with our nursing department to ensure seamless infection control practices and coordinate routine isolation procedures as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a spotless environment by adhering to strict cleaning schedules and protocols
- Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, and other high-touch areas
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and ledges throughout the facility
- Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorize carpets and upholstered furniture
- Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables according to sanitation procedures
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized supply cart
- Collaborate with the nursing department to implement effective infection control measures
- Report any accidents or incidents to your supervisor immediately

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in a healthcare setting (or related field)
- Ability to understand and follow English language instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, or air contaminants
- May be subject to infectious waste, diseases, or conditions such as TB or HIV/AIDS

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day through all areas of the facility
- Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and reach throughout the day
- Repetitive hand motion may be required
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 15 feet.
