Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Fortiss LLC / Parkwest Casinos. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, as well as electrical household and commercial appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, ice machines, and freezers.
- Repair, install, and service stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines, and other electrical appliances as needed.
- Lay out reference points for installation of structural and functional components, using measuring instruments.
- Examine appliances during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts.
- Replace worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot package units, reciprocating compressors, pneumatic controls, refrigerators, and ice machines.
- Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining kitchen hoods and exhaust systems.
- Perform general maintenance duties as needed.
- Ensure proper and economical use of equipment, supplies, and facility.
- Ensure that assigned work area is maintained in a safe condition.
- Assist in orientation and training of new staff members or temporary workers.
Requirements:
- Open availability to work Day, Swing, or Graveyard shifts.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge, or license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background, and credit check.
Education and Certifications:
- Associate's degree (A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in A/C and refrigeration and HVAC and/or EPA license required.
- Some professional education on pneumatic controls and compressor renovation plus one to three years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- HVAC and/or EPA license required for this position.
