The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Pediatric Specialty Clinic. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional care to patients from infancy through adolescence and beyond.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to work in a fast-paced environment, providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. You will participate in the development of nursing care plans and implement therapeutic programs for patients. In less complex situations, you may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse
* Participates in the development of nursing care plans and implements therapeutic programs for patients
* Assists in the development of nursing care plans and implements therapeutic programs for patients
* May assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel in less complex situations
* Performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse in more complex situations

**Work Environment:**

Our Pediatric Specialty Clinic offers comprehensive care to patients from infancy through adolescence and beyond. Our state-of-the-art facilities include five echocardiography rooms, an exercise lab, pulmonary function lab, EEG lab, two treatment rooms, and a phlebotomy lab.

**Schedule:**

* 40 hours per week
* Day shift
* 8 or 10 hour shifts

**Location:**

Stead Family Children's Hospital

**Rotations:**

* No weekends
* No holidays
* No on-call

**Salary:**

$ per year
Merit Pay Plan

**Requirements:**

* Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit
* Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
* Medical Terminology
* Public Contact/Customer Service
