Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and plan patient care, implementing and documenting nursing interventions as needed.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Administer medications and perform various patient tests within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire.
- Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS may be required within 90 days of hire, depending on departmental needs.
