Job Overview

Pine Tree Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced EHS Program Manager to oversee environmental health and safety initiatives for a leading manufacturing organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement both short-term and long-term EHS strategies.
  • Enhance and maintain all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and sustainability within the EHS Management System.
  • Facilitate the ongoing improvement of essential processes such as Risk Assessment, Training, Incident Analysis, and Committee Meetings.
  • Support Plant Management in establishing annual objectives for EHS personnel.
  • Champion the Safety, Excellence, and Leadership (SEAL) program to cultivate a robust safety culture.
  • Provide expert advice, mentorship, and guidance to EHS staff and supervisors.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and various stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement site-specific procedures as necessary.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant safety programs.
  • Oversee the Management of Change process effectively.
  • Ensure timely resolution of compliance and audit findings related to EHS.
  • Update the EHS Management System in accordance with regulatory changes.
  • Manage the EHS budget efficiently.
  • Administer state and local regulatory programs as required.
  • Oversee the preparation of permit applications for waste management.
  • Act as a liaison with compliance officials during inspections and tours.
  • Assist in the rollout of company-wide safety and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH are advantageous.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years in managing EHS programs within a manufacturing context; 8 years is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical or managerial capacity focusing on environmental and sustainability programs.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and VPP standards is preferred.
