Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment, including carpentry, roofing, and plumbing tasks.
  • Inspect and report on needed repairs and maintenance to ensure the safety and integrity of our facilities.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and vehicles.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and insurable.
  • Five years of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably as a journeyman carpenter.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
  • Occasional prolonged or irregular hours of work.
  • May work alone or as part of a team.
