Job Summary
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly qualified candidate for an Associate Professor position in the tenure track. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the specific area of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and medical students.
- Clinical responsibilities may include seeing cognitive patients with a focus on those with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias in an outpatient clinic.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational, or clinical research focused on neurodegenerative disease.
Requirements
- Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- For candidates with an M.D., Board Certification in Neurology is required.
- The ideal candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program supported by federal and foundation grants, as well as participate in collaborative science.
- Candidates must have a strong record of scholarly productivity and federal funding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates in midcareer are encouraged to apply.
- The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in collaborative science supported by programs such as the Penn Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Frontotemporal Dementia Center, Center for Neurodegeneration and Repair, and Institute on Aging.
