Shift Details: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Job ResponsibilitiesThe position involves working in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). Candidates should be prepared for:
- Start Date: ASAP (Tuesdays)
- Contract Length: Options for 13 or 26 weeks
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 during the day, 1:6 at night
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Certifications: BCLS and ACLS are mandatory; NIH certification is preferred.
Patient Care FocusThe unit typically manages a daily census of around 40 patients, dealing with:
- Observation cases
- General medical issues
- Post-operative care for PCI and general surgeries
- Short-stay inpatient and extended outpatient cases
- Conditions such as GI bleed, SBO, ESRD, CHF, COPD, and stable CIWA
Note: Limited isolation patients; no chemotherapy or peritoneal dialysis cases.
