Vascular Surgery Ambulatory Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

The University of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery Ambulatory team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the care of acute and chronically ill patients related to pre- and post-surgical care
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and self-care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role
