Job Summary

This part-time CNA position offers a competitive starting wage of $18.70 per hour and up to $26.70 per hour for certain positions including shift differential. Located at the Brown County Community Treatment Center, near UWGB. As a CNA, you will assist clients and residents with activities of daily living, provide nursing care, active treatment, and be part of maintaining a therapeutic environment.

The Community Treatment Center is a newer built facility with 3 separate units. Bayshore Village is a 63-bed nursing home, all with private rooms and bathrooms/showers. Bay Haven is a 15-bed CBRF, also all with single rooms. Nicolet is a 16-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital that provides care to those in a situational or mental crisis. We are also proud to have an overall 5-star facility rating which also includes a 5-star staffing and a 5-star quality rating.

Benefits

AM, PM, and Overnight shifts available. Sign-on Bonus available up to $4000 total for eligible positions (paid after completing 6-months and 1-year of employment). For eligible positions, we offer a generous benefits package that includes 8 paid holidays per year, paid time off, great insurance coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of employment as well as a participant in the Wisconsin Retirement System.

Responsibilities

A position with responsibility for assisting clients with activities of daily living, providing nursing care and active treatment to clients/residents in assigned household, neighborhood or unit and assisting in the maintenance of a safe, clean and therapeutic environment. Essential duties include creating a therapeutic atmosphere, maintaining a clean environment, providing client care, participating in the development of the client care plan, and implementing provisions of the client/resident care plans.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant from an approved training program, and current, valid registration with the Wisconsin CNA Registry. Valid State and Federal registration with the Wisconsin CNA Registry. Valid Wisconsin Driver's License. Current knowledge of procedures and techniques in providing routine, non-professional nursing care to the geriatric elderly, developmentally disabled, mentally ill, AODA client or children and adolescents. Knowledge of CPI, Restraining Techniques and Therapeutic Interventions. Ability to recognize and address the physical, psychosocial, mental and emotional needs of the client. Ability to carry out a nursing care plan and to follow oral and written instructions, as directed by the Registered Nurse. Ability to organize, plan, lead and participate in activities. Ability to deal with stress associated with threatening of unpredictable client behavior. Ability to use all standard medical equipment including proper use of mechanical lifts and gait belt. Ability to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with clients/residents and family members. Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relationships with other employees. Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and carry out policies and procedures governing client care. Ability to work the required hours of the position. Ability to provide basic ROM and ambulatory techniques with the clients/residents. Ability to complete required training under DHS 83, DHS 34, and mental health crisis training as required for working in the crisis stabilization unit.
