Deliver exceptional massage and body treatments as requested by Spa patrons. This role necessitates unwavering compliance with departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP's).
Key Responsibilities
Therapist Duties:
- Administer Spa services to guests promptly, courteously, and efficiently, adhering to Biltmore Standards and Protocols alongside Leading Hotel Standards.
- Guide Spa guests to and from treatment rooms, addressing any immediate needs throughout their visit.
- Provide information in response to inquiries and assist in coordinating all guest service requests.
- Promote and retail Spa products effectively.
- Participate in all training sessions and meetings provided by the Spa.
- Facilitate the training of new therapists on treatments, protocols, and standards.
- Assist the Spa Supervisor and Lead Spa Concierge in training the Concierge team to ensure comprehensive knowledge of treatment benefits and key selling points.
- Conduct assessments and audits on treatments.
- Monitor weekly inventory of supplies and create necessary purchase orders for the department.
- Inspect treatment rooms and compile weekly reports on room conditions, noting therapists who do not adhere to room setup protocols.
- Assist with staff scheduling to optimize service availability.
- Coordinate vendor meetings, training sessions, and incentives (under the supervision of the Operations Manager).
- Support additional administrative tasks and assignments as requested by management.
- Collaborate with other spa departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Support management in performing internal audits of all Leading Hotel Standards within the department.
- Attend all Biltmore Team Lead meetings led by the Training & Development Manager.
- Complete the assigned quota of audits weekly/monthly as designated by the Department Head and Training & Development Manager.
- Assist managers/supervisors in developing and maintaining current training manuals and onboarding new and existing staff.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role within the Spa industry.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
- Adept at performing accurate mathematical calculations.
- Capable of providing clear communication and directions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to perform tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to think clearly and remain calm while resolving issues using sound judgment.
- Thoroughly follow directions.
- Understand and anticipate guest service needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a team.
- Operate with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and relevant resort data.
- Possess basic typing skills and moderate to advanced computer proficiency.
- Adapt to a dynamic and constantly changing work environment.
- Skilled in multitasking.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or throughout an entire shift.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Utilize and operate all necessary office equipment with finger dexterity.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, subordinates, and guests through verbal communication, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Maintain visual focus on a computer for extended periods.
- Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel, as the thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Exhibit teamwork and cooperation within the team and across departments.
