About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans for patients with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide empirically based psychological interventions to patients and their families to promote maximum participation in community activities.
  • Design and implement community reintegration activities to support patients' psychological and cognitive needs during physical activity.
  • Assist patients in understanding their needs and limitations, and provide guidance on managing them during daily activities.
  • Regularly review and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal progress towards patient goals.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, family members, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with medical providers to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Adhere to company policies, professional standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Minimum one year of post-master's degree clinical experience in counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions.
  • Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple assignments/locations as needed.
