Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst/Modeler

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst/Modeler to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for analyzing and developing systems security integration, testing, operations, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and information from multiple sources to conduct environmental preparation, respond to information requests, and submit intelligence collection and production requirements in support of planning and operations.
  • Develop and optimize time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
  • Conduct independent comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements to determine overall effectiveness as defined in NIST.
  • Provide actionable results on the security of new or existing computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs.

Requirements:

  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in cyber analysis and/or modeling.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution.
  • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).
  • Skilled in collecting data from various cyber defense resources.
  • Ability to recognize and categorize types of vulnerabilities and associated attacks.
  • Skilled in performing packet-level analysis.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing security system vulnerabilities.
  • Experience using penetration testing tools and techniques.
  • Skilled in using network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Skilled in determining how a security system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment affect outcomes.
  • Ability to discern protection needs (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks.
  • Experience in designing countermeasures to identify security risks.
  • Ability to secure test plan design.
  • Experience in using code analysis tools.
