About the Location

Indiana is a centrally located county seat of Indiana County, 60 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The community is well-known for its quality school system, highly ranked in the state and nationally recognized. There are many activities available for residents, including outdoor sports like fishing, hunting, golfing, tennis, swimming, boating, hiking, and camping.

Facilities and Services

The 164-bed acute care community hospital has a 12-bed ICU and nearly every specialty of medicine and surgery is represented. Services include a Stroke Center, Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers, OB, Joint Replacement Program, pain clinic with advanced modalities, comprehensive sleep disorders lab/program, STEMI lab, Vascular surgery, and advanced neuro-diagnostics lab. The hospital also has a certified Center for Oncology with IMRT, IGRT, HDR brachytherapy, prostate seed therapy, and chemotherapy.

Emergency Department

The modern, 23-room ED has an efficient layout and is well-equipped with Cerner EMR, GlideScope, and ED ultrasound. The ED volume is 34,000, with a 20% admission rate. The hospital has an active EMS program offering medical command and education to local services.
