Pratt Retail Specialties is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment, maintaining high-quality production standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the performance of production equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Operate machinery at optimal capacity, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Train and assist junior team members in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Participate in cross-training programs to expand skills and knowledge of production processes.
- Complete accurate and timely reports on production data, machine operational status, safety data, and quality data.
- Collaborate with supervision to prioritize maintenance work orders and optimize equipment performance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and good housekeeping practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
- Ability to learn and assist in mechanical setup, troubleshoot problems, and perform necessary repairs.
- Working knowledge of current production software and ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
