Role Overview:

The Sports Ambassador role is a technical position centered around delivering a unique athlete experience, specifically to baseball players. This individual will leverage personal experiences and industry research to provide product recommendations that align with the athlete's needs.

  • Meets the athlete where they are in their baseball journey, creating a tailored and unparalleled customer service experience.
  • Leverages on-the-field expertise and/or baseball knowledge to provide recommendations that meet the athlete's needs.
  • Translates product technology to the athlete and the position(s) they play, contributing to and enhancing the athlete's overall game day experience.
  • Equips athletes with appropriate products, equipment, and accessories for any occasion - from practice to game day.
  • Participates in Diamond Sports Universities to test and learn new products, sharing knowledge with teammates and athletes.
  • Partners with store teammates to educate others on new baseball-related products.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation standards and signage of the Baseball Department to company standards.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
  • Supports the team across the store, taking an all-hands-on-deck approach.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

  • One Who Leads with Expertise to Sell: Leans on expertise of the game to understand and align the athlete's needs to appropriate products.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Retail or Team Sports experience preferred
