Job Title: Experienced Machinist

We are seeking an experienced machinist to join our team at Metro Machine Works, a growing and stable aerospace/energy precision machine shop located in Romulus, Michigan.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce high-precision parts. They will also be responsible for loading and editing NC programs, communicating with the process engineering department, and maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce high-precision parts.
  • Load and edit NC programs, including tool changes and offsets.
  • Communicate with the process engineering department to ensure smooth production.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and productivity, adhering to company standards and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 10 years of machining experience, with a strong background in CNC machining.
  • Journeyman machinist or equivalent documentation required.
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift, with flexibility to adapt to changing production needs.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.

$42,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
