Aveanna Healthcare is a leading national provider of home health services to medically fragile children and adults. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team on a part-time weekend nights schedule.
Job SummaryAs a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in their homes, assisting with transitioning from the hospital and providing continuous care to remain at home with their loved ones. You will work closely with our patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Responsibilities- Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
- Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
- Document care provided in our system of record
- Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease management
- Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
- Follow up with patients, families, and healthcare teams on client problems and concerns
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- 6 months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
