Job Title: Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional to join our team at Developmental Services, Inc. - Kokomo. As a QIDP, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
  2. Provide direct care and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services and ensure seamless care transitions.
  4. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for growth.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, including progress notes, treatment plans, and incident reports.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  7. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a human services field, such as psychology, social work, or special education.
  2. At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  5. Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation.
