Procurement Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a Procurement Specialist for a forward-thinking manufacturing organization. This client is committed to operational excellence and is in search of a proficient Commodity Buyer to enhance their competitive advantage through informed purchasing strategies.

The Commodity Buyer will take charge of sourcing and acquiring the essential raw materials and supplies required for production. This position demands a strategic mindset coupled with a robust background in sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement commodity strategies to guarantee optimal pricing, quality, and service delivery.
  • Cultivate supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  • Supervise the procurement workflow from the creation of purchase orders to the receipt of goods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate needs and manage inventory effectively.
  • Perform market research to remain updated on industry trends and utilize insights for procurement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations in all purchasing activities.
  • Manage a substantial annual expenditure and contribute to the long-term success of the company's supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commodity purchasing, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and make decisions under pressure.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
