About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team at Widseth Smith Nolting and Associates. As an Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing various building types, including schools, offices, state and municipal facilities, hospitality, industrial, and institutional buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable solutions, evaluating alternatives for cost-effectiveness and ensuring corrections and clarifications are made.
  • Code Compliance: Implement all local, state, and federal applicable building codes, constructability, and architectural standards of practice.
  • Project Management: Work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, balancing multiple projects and coordinating verbal and written communications with a multi-discipline team.
  • Client and Contractor Interaction: Interact with contractors and clients throughout the various phases of the project.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered Architect in Minnesota, 5+ years' architectural design experience preferred, knowledge of principles and practices of architecture, and ability to lead teams on projects.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced understanding of building codes, specifications, and IBC, strong Revit skills, experience with SketchUp and Lumion.
