Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at Lifespan. As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide intensive community-based clinical and crisis intervention services to seriously emotionally and/or behaviorally disturbed children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with CFTO standards.
  • Conduct emergency evaluations and provide crisis intervention services to children at imminent risk of hospitalization.
  • Coordinate services through documented meetings, telephone conversations, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide psycho-educational services to children and their families based on modality, frequency, participant, and location specifications.
  • Serve as a liaison with inpatient units and other healthcare providers.
  • Complete assessment and treatment plan documents according to agency procedures.
  • Participate in case presentations and treatment meetings.
  • Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergency situations.
  • Function as a liaison and client advocate with community agencies.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a Human Services field, such as Social Work, Rehabilitation, or Agency Counseling.
  • Three years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness, plus experience in assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, substance abuse, and sexual abuse.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work evenings on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff, face-to-face and by telephone.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team member and maintain objectivity under stress.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this job include regular use of hands to handle office equipment, talk or hear, and occasional walking, sitting, reaching, and climbing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to a moderate noise level.
