Key Responsibilities
  • Preconstruction Leadership: Lead the preparation of preconstruction proposals, fees, and budgets for general contractors and subcontractors.
  • Project Interview and Presentation: Conduct thorough project interviews and present to clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and expectations.
  • Value Engineering and Risk Management: Lead and participate in value engineering, risk management, and other workshops to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Client Communication: Prepare and present content to clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of project details and timelines.
  • Engineering Design Management: Coordinate and manage engineering design subcontractors, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Manage preconstruction schedules and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Design Deliverables: Track, manage, and deliver design deliverables, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Project Pricing and Descoping: Coordinate overall project pricing and descoping for development of the general maintenance price (GMP).
  • Purchasing and Operations Support: Support purchasing and operations teams in buyout and procurement activities.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Promote and model a safety culture consistent with the company's stated goals.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of estimators and operations personnel in the preconstruction process.
  • Client and Partner Relationships: Develop and grow client and engineering partner relationships, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Industry Events and Trade Shows: Attend local trade shows and industry events to promote the company's services and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Business Development Support: Provide leads and coordinate with directors of business development to drive new business opportunities.
