Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive medical care addressing the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of patients within the correctional framework.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and mental health evaluations, to determine health status and communicate findings effectively.
  • Respond to mental health emergencies and initiate appropriate care within the facility.
  • Perform rounds in medical and infirmary units, manage sick call visits, and oversee chronic care.
  • Schedule and execute laboratory and diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Identify health conditions and prescribe treatments based on accurate diagnoses, ensuring timely referrals when needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, regularly evaluating and adjusting therapeutic strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for managing mental health issues, including coordination with consultants and external resources.
  • Monitor and document healthcare activities for each patient under NaphCare's care.
