Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Summer Pediatrics. As a Patient-Centered Medical Home, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Basic Nursing Care: Administer medications, perform vital signs, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Room Patients and Enter Information: Greet patients, take medical histories, and document patient information in our electronic medical record system.
  • Phone Triage: Assess patient calls, provide guidance, and refer patients to our healthcare team as needed.
  • Administer Medications and Immunizations: Safely administer medications and immunizations to patients, following established protocols.
  • Complete Medical Forms: Accurately complete medical forms and documents, as required.
  • Monitor and Report Changes: Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to our healthcare team.
  • Communicate with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate Patients: Provide patients and their families with education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care.
  • Facilitate Referrals: Coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities, as needed.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Medical Software Familiarity: Familiarity with medical software, such as eClinical Work, is a plus.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
