Camden Prep oversees four schools that cater to students in grades K through 10, with plans to expand to grade 12.

Position Overview
As a Middle School Physical Education (PE) Instructor at Uncommon, you will inspire students to embrace an active lifestyle.
Your PE curriculum, which encompasses sports, team-building activities, and physical fitness, will be culturally responsive, dynamic, and enjoyable. We have cultivated a community that promotes respect, diligence, and celebrates both academic and non-academic accomplishments of our students. Our aim is to instill a love for learning and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle from an early age.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction
Develop a secure and interactive environment where students feel encouraged to participate in physical activities. Enhance students' physical fitness through team-building exercises, independent workouts such as stretching, cardio, and calisthenics, as well as organized sports and games. Guide students in establishing healthy habits in both mindset and physical activity. Deliver an engaging and culturally responsive PE curriculum tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of your students. - School Culture
Foster positive relationships with students to ensure they feel valued and understood. Collaborate with families to provide necessary resources that support their child's educational journey. Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions. Participate in weekly school-wide meetings to build community, exemplify our core values, and promote student success.

Required Experience:
A demonstrated interest in making a positive impact on K-12 students in urban settings (1-2 years of experience preferred). Expertise in middle school education, physical education, sports science, kinesiology, physical fitness, or participation in collegiate athletics. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required prior to employment. Teacher certification is not mandatory for consideration in the state of NJ, but candidates must meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements.
