About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our Law Department, you will be responsible for delivering legal services in an objective and unbiased manner, in accordance with the attorneys' ethical and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Handle cases involving claims with high financial exposure and complexity, including cases involving complex medical issues, catastrophic injuries, or sensationalized accident facts.
  • Develop and implement procedural and substantive strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Conduct depositions, present expert testimony, and effectively cross-examine witnesses.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate with management to make informed decisions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on complicated cases, reflecting in-depth analysis and proposed strategies for further handling.
  • Assist in the supervision and development of assigned support staff, mentor other attorneys, and serve as a resource person on complex legal issues and administrative matters.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of personal injury experience, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Jury trial experience and arbitration, deposition, and discovery experience are highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle an inventory of 70+ files and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and technology skills, with proficiency in trial presentation programs and automation systems.
  • J.D. from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School, in the top half of the graduating class, and an active member in good standing of the Bar in the state of operation.
  • Active law license to practice in Pennsylvania and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Pennsylvania.
