Overview:

We're seeking an experienced DevOps Software Engineer, Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our development team, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

In this position, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient systems, leveraging your expertise in software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure as code (IaC). Your experience with Bash and Python scripting, as well as your knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, will be invaluable assets to our team.

As a seasoned professional, you'll have 6+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with a strong background in troubleshooting large UNIX clusters and UNIX command line environments. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Job Description:

  • Leverage your software engineering skills to design and develop scalable systems, integrating multiple technologies to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, including architecture diagrams, configuration files, and deployment scripts.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools, scripts, and frameworks to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with colleagues to troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps.
  • Strong experience with Bash and Python scripting.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation tools, such as Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible.
  • Experience with trouble-shooting large UNIX clusters and UNIX command line environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree.
