Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a range of skills related to veterinary assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Handle and restrain animals during treatments
  • Perform basic laboratory procedures such as blood draws and sample collection
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
  • Provide compassionate care to animals before, during, and after procedures
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
  • Monitor animal behavior and condition
Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology
  • Experience in animal care and handling
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques for maintaining cleanliness
  • Ability to groom pets and provide basic pet care
  • Understanding of animal anatomy and physiology
  • Proficiency in dog training and handling
  • Kennel management skills for animal boarding facilities
  • Pet sitting experience is a plus

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year.
