EEG Technician

Job Summary:

As a valued member of the St. Clare's - Denville team, the EEG Technician - Brain Function Specialist plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care. This position involves performing EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders, and localizing lesions in the cerebrum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders, and localizing lesions in the cerebrum.
• Perform clerical duties.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred.
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred.
• Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred.
